A partnership to provide free tools for every patient and faster research for our community

The Danon Foundation has launched a partnership with Citizen Health to bring our community powerful new AI-powered tools to navigate healthcare, while accelerating understanding of Danon disease.

Ari is Citizen’s AI health companion, built for rare disease. It doesn’t just answer your questions — it does the work on your behalf. Ari helps with records, insurance, appointments, daily tasks, and research, so you have less to carry alone. It works by text or in the web portal, so there’s nothing to download.

By signing up for Ari you also have the option to contribute your de-identified data to Danon research efforts, pushing forward understanding of this disease for our community, and answering the questions that matter most to you and to researchers.

A few examples of what Ari handles:

• Log a symptom. Text or voice. A flutter at 7:45 on a Tuesday night. Ari logs it, notices it’s the third this week, and drafts a message to your cardiologist.
• Appeal a denial. Ari pulls the records, writes the appeal, and submits it once you approve.
• Read new labs. Ari summarizes results in plain language and tells you if anything needs your attention. Ask it what your last echo said and it answers without the jargon.
• Spot what’s coming. Ari surfaces patterns in symptoms, prior authorizations about to expire, and benefit programs you may qualify for.

What we are building together

Danon disease remains under-researched, and in particular, how it manifests and progresses in females. This partnership is designed to help close that gap through four goals:

1. A peer-reviewed publication built from real-world community data
2. A path toward a more consistent standard of care
3. Dedicated research on female Danon patients, building a comprehensive real-world dataset on the female phenotype
4. Free day-to-day support for every patient and family through Ari, Citizen Health’s AI health companion for rare disease

Contributing to research is always your choice and separate from using Ari. Only de-identified information is ever shared for research purposes and you can change your mind at any time.
